The Webb Ellis Cup: 1987 New Zealand, 1991 Australia, 1995 South Africa, 1999 Australia, 2003 England

It's fantastic news for us that New Zealand will host the Rugby World Cup tournament in 2011. NZ is the best choice and will do a superb job.

Captain of the All Blacks, Tana Umaga gave an impassioned speech claiming NZ to be "a stadium of four million people". Prime Minister Helen Clark assured the IRB of our government's commitment behind the bid for hosting the cup. We won she said because NZ "is the home of rugby".

Pupils in schools nationwide will be honing in on their ball skills with more enthusiasm and drive than usual, in their desire to achieve the acme of perfection as future All Blacks.

The Maori haka that has traditionally been performed as a physical challenge to the opposing rugby team is intimidating and does heighten suspense for the spectators. If it really gives opponents an inferiority complex then England will be beaten before the kick-off.

NZ has already “walloped Wales and Ireland and now only England stands in the way of a perfect November for New Zealand rugby”.

Many thanks for both comments Phine. We are still reeling at the lucky win yesterday on the part of the All Blacks, 23 - 19, against the world champions, England.
NZ will play against Scotland, at Murrayfield next Saturday, while England versus Samoa. We are looking forward to greater things!

Thank you Stevie. Though New Zealand were briefly reduced to 13 men during the second half we still beat the courageous English, so yes, we must be good!
